Wallet Connection
Connect your Bitcoin/Counterparty address to unlock inventory features and build trust.
Why Connect Your Wallet?
Connecting your wallet provides several benefits:
- Browse your inventory - See all your Counterparty assets organized by collection
- Quick sell - Create listings directly from your inventory
- Verified seller - Buyers can see you own what you're selling
- Premium features - Access bulk listing when holding COUNTERTRADR token
- Multi-wallet support - Connect multiple addresses
How to Connect
Step 1: Start the Connection
Send the connect command to the bot:
/connect Step 2: Enter Your Address
Enter the Bitcoin address that holds your Counterparty assets. Supported formats:
- Legacy - Starts with
1... - P2SH - Starts with
3... - Bech32 - Starts with
bc1...
Step 3: Sign the Verification Message
The bot will give you a unique message to sign with your wallet. This proves you own the address without revealing your private key.
Example verification message:
CounterTrader verification: 1ABC...XYZ nonce:abc123 Step 4: Submit Your Signature
Sign the message using your wallet software and send the signature back to the bot.

You can sign messages with:
• Electrum - Tools → Sign/verify message
• Freewallet - Sign message feature
• Sparrow Wallet - Tools → Sign message
• Most Bitcoin wallets with message signing support
Managing Connected Wallets
View Connected Addresses
/wallet Shows all your connected addresses with asset counts
Set Primary Address
Your primary address is used by default for listings and bulk operations. Set it from the /wallet menu.
Browse Your Inventory
/inventory Browse your assets organized by collection
/inventory 1ABC...XYZ Browse a specific connected address
Disconnect an Address
/disconnect 1ABC...XYZ Remove a connected address from your account
Quick Sell from Inventory
Once connected, you can create listings directly from your inventory:
- Use
/inventoryto browse your assets - Navigate to a collection and select an asset
- Tap "Sell" to create a listing with pre-filled details
- Set your price and confirm
Unlocking Premium Features
If your connected wallet holds COUNTERTRADR tokens, premium features like bulk listing are automatically unlocked.
Check your premium status:
/wallet Shows premium badge if COUNTERTRADR is detected
Security Notes
- No private keys - We never ask for or store your private keys
- Message signing only - Verification uses standard Bitcoin message signing
- Read-only access - We only read your public balances from the blockchain
- Disconnect anytime - You can remove connected addresses at any time
