CounterTrader automates the tedious parts of trading so you can focus on deals, not logistics.
P2P Auto-Detection
When trading P2P, there's no need to manually confirm that payment was sent or assets were delivered. CounterTrader monitors the blockchain and auto-detects:
- BTC payments — the bot watches the seller's Bitcoin address for incoming payments matching the trade amount
- Counterparty sends — asset transfers from the seller to the buyer are detected automatically
How It Works
- Both parties agree to a trade
- Seller sends the asset, buyer sends BTC
- CounterTrader polls the blockchain every 3 minutes
- When both sides are detected, the trade auto-completes
- Both traders receive a confirmation notification
Auto-detection works for BTC, ETH, and XCP payments, as well as Counterparty asset sends.
Trade Timeout
Trades that sit inactive for 30 days are automatically expired. This prevents stale trades from cluttering the system and tying up listings.
How It Works
- The 30-day clock starts when a trade is initiated
- Any activity (message, payment, confirmation) resets the timer
- At 25 days, both parties receive a warning notification
- At 30 days, the trade is auto-cancelled
- Both parties' reputation scores are unaffected by timeout (no penalty)
Extending a Trade
To keep a trade alive, simply send a message to your counterparty through the trade chat. Any interaction resets the 30-day timer.
Take Listing
When the match engine finds that your bid matches someone's ask (or vice versa), the notification includes a one-tap "Take Listing" button.
What "Take Listing" Does
- Skips the quantity picker (matches the listing quantity)
- Initiates the trade immediately
- Sends a trade request to the counterparty
- One tap instead of multiple steps
You'll see Take Listing buttons in match notifications, undercut alerts, and when browsing the orderbook.
Cross-Currency Matching
Your listing in one currency automatically matches against listings in other currencies. A BTC ask can match a USD bid as long as the values are within 5% of each other at current exchange rates.
Supported currencies: USD, BTC, ETH, XCP, AUD, USDC, and USDT.

Bulk Operations
Save time by listing or bidding on multiple assets at once:
/bulklist List your entire inventory at floor prices with one command
/bulkbid Bid on an entire collection at last sale prices
